The core commercial enterprise of Davies Tire Company is general auto repair and maintenance. These services are provided to a customer base that is made up primarily of people who live and/or work within ten miles of our location at 93 Islington Street Portsmouth, NH. A very small percentage of our clientele are drawn from more than twenty miles away.
General auto repair and maintenance is performed on all common makes and models. The facility at 93 Islington Street performs services which include;
- Tire repair and/or replacement
- Engine oil and filter change
- Suspension and steering repair and maintenance
- Brake service
- Wheel bearing service and or replacement
- Drive axle replacement
- Transmission and/or differential maintenance
- Exhaust replacement
- Fuel system repair
- Cooling system maintenance and repair
- Drivability diagnosis, maintenance and repair
- Limited electrical system repair
- New Hampshire state safety inspection
In April, 2010 Davies Tire Company opened an annex facility located at 375 Banfield Road Portsmouth, NH. This facility is equipped for alignments and tire services.
The 93 Islington Street location has four service bays, a retail office/showroom area and parking for roughly thirty vehicles. Three technicians are currently employed at this location.
The 375 Banfield Road location has two service bays and parking for roughly forty vehicles. There is one technician currently employed at this location.
The secondary commercial enterprise of Davies Tire Company is the warehousing and distribution of tires. This is done on a limited, local basis. The distribution of tires is to other repair facilities and auto dealers. The distribution network range is roughly equal to our retail service area. Most of these customers are within twenty miles. A small percentage are up to forty miles away. Delivery of product on this scale is easily accomplished with pick-up trucks and limited storage space.
